SIE held Teacher-student Dinner Party on World Chef Day

On October 20, the World Chef Day, in order to enhance the sense of belonging and identity of foreign students to the college and strengthen the cultural education and gratitude education for foreign students, SIE organized teachers and foreign students to carry out a Teacher-student dinner party.

Teachers Zhang Zuoyu, Feng Lili and Wu Qi of SIE carefully cooked Mapo Tofu, Braised Perch in Brown Sauce, Scrambled eggs with tomato as well as other traditional Chinese cuisines for the students. Foreign students were also active and enthusiastic, preparing their own countries' curry fish, fried shrimp and other special dishes.

The steaming Chinese and foreign special cuisines drew the hearts of teachers and students closer. While tasting the delicious food, teachers and students chatted freely in a dreindly atmosphere. The teachers also tought on site to introduce the four major Chinese cuisines and related Chinese traditional food culture to the foreign students, who subsequently introduce their own food and cultural customs to the teachers as well. This event greatly promoted the exchange of Chinese and foreign food culture among foreign students in JSAFC.
